My Process
I begin all of my pieces with 2-3 thumbnail sketches to establish concepts and general layout. From there I create a finalized sketch with margins and final text as well as a mood-board to establish color and aesthetic. I then colorize my image to finalize the color and light interaction. Lastly I model texture and render my assets in Cinema 4D before compiling all pieces in Adobe Illustrator.
Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever
This project was a graduate World Health Organization assignment at Augusta University with a mock client. Created with Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator this patient education poster illustrates the primary modes of transmission of the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever. The target audience for the poster is low literacy populations in the Middle East, specifically in Pakistan.
My Process
I begin with sharing preliminary thumbnails with my client that show different layouts and graphics. Following client feedback, I proceed to finalize lines and layout. I then develop a color palette and send a color composition with final text to my client for review. After incorporating feedback, I render the piece to final and format for print in Adobe Illustrator.
My Process
I start this piece by creating a sketch of the base of a skull on vellum from observation. After shading the skull, I transfer my sketch onto Bristol paper and begin rendering the skull with carbon dust. I cut a sheet of acetate to fill the negative space around the skull to prevent unwanted carbon dust transfer. Once finalized the carbon dust illustration is scanned into Photoshop where it is colorized. It is then exported to Illustrator for layout and text placement.
Stroke Care at WellStar MCG
Created for the WellStar MCG Stroke Care Unit, this patient education brochure is designed to educate the public on the types of strokes, risks and ways to reduce them, treatments offered at WellStar, and the experts and providers within the Stroke Care Unit. It was created with Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
My Process
I start the brochure by creating a variety of thumbnails showing a rough layout and graphics. After meeting with the client and a thumbnail is chosen, revisions are made and final lines are created. Multiple color test mockups are illustrated and printed for client viewing. I also work closely with the WellStar design & marketing team to ensure color palettes and graphics meet WellStar brand standards. After approval from the design team and the client, the brochure is finalized and formatted for print and distribution at the hospital.
My Process
I begin with analyzing the case writeup as well as surgical documents and scans provided by the client. After writing the proposal and final quote, I begin working on the preliminary thumbnails to establish layout. After meeting with the client, lines are finalized and discussed with the client. After incorporating layout feedback from client and faculty, I colorize and render the piece.
